Common questions

Do I need an account to use Alia?
No. Alia works fully with no account at all — everything is stored on your phone. An account is optional and does exactly one thing: it lets you share the log with another caregiver.
Does it work without a signal?
Yes. Entries are written to the phone first, so you can log a feed at 3am with no bars and nothing is lost.
How do I share the log with my partner?
Create an account and send them an invite code. You both see one timeline. Two caregivers are included free.
What happens after the 14-day trial?
Nothing you need to do. There is no card on file and nothing to cancel — on day 15 the app moves to the Free tier on its own.
What happens to my older entries on the Free tier?
They are hidden, never deleted. Free shows the last 14 days; if you subscribe later, everything older comes back exactly as you logged it. Nothing you log is ever thrown away.
How many children can I track?
One child per log.
How do I manage or cancel Plus?
Subscriptions are handled by Apple. Open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and you can change or cancel Alia Plus there.
Is Alia on Android, iPad, or the web?
Alia is an iPhone app.
Can Alia tell me if something is wrong?
No, and it will never try. Alia records what you log and shows you her own patterns. It does not interpret them, and it will never tell you a number is a problem. Anything that worries you belongs with your pediatrician.

Reporting a problem

If something is broken, it helps a great deal to include your iPhone model, your iOS version, the version of Alia from the app’s settings screen, and roughly when it happened.
