Copyright

The short version
- Alia — the app, this site, the words, the drawings — is ours. What you log in it is yours. We claim no ownership of a single entry about your baby.
- Screenshots are fine. Write about Alia, review it, show it to people, put it in an article — no permission needed.
- The name and the wordmark are not. Don’t ship something called Alia.
- Alia is built on other people’s work, and that work is named below with its licence.
- If something here infringes your copyright, tell us and we will look at it properly.
A summary, not the terms. The sections below are what actually applies.
1. Who owns Alia
Alia © 2026 Ogden A.D. Ventures LLC, DBA Alia Childcare, of 13249 154th St, Jamaica, NY 11434. All rights reserved except where this page says otherwise.
That covers the Alia iPhone app and its source code, this website, the written copy on both, the interface designs, the illustrations and doodles drawn for Alia, and the Alia name and wordmark.
2. What you log is yours
This is the part worth being unambiguous about, because it is the part that matters to a parent.
We do not claim copyright or any ownership interest in the content you enter into Alia. Your feeds, sleeps, nappies, notes, milestones, photographs and measurements are your records of your child. We store them so the app can show them back to you and so a second caregiver on the same log can see them. We do not treat them as our material, we do not license them onward, and we do not use them to train anything.
What Alia computes from your log — a wake window, a predicted nap time, the shape of a day — is produced by our software, and the software is ours. The underlying entries remain yours. See the Privacy Policy for what is stored, where, and for how long.
3. Trademarks
Alia, Alia Childcare and the Alia wordmark are trademarks of Ogden A.D. Ventures LLC. Nothing on this page grants a licence to use them.
You may use the name to refer to Alia — in a review, an article, a comparison, a support forum post. You may not use it as the name of, or in the branding of, your own product or service, and you may not use it in a way that suggests we endorse or supply something we do not.
Apple, the Apple logo, iPhone and App Store are trademarks of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries. App Store is a service mark of Apple Inc. Alia is not affiliated with or endorsed by Apple.
4. What you can do without asking
- Take and publish screenshots
- For reviews, articles, tutorials, social posts, bug reports, comparisons, or showing a friend. Commercial publications included. No permission, no fee, no attribution requirement beyond not implying we wrote your piece.
- Link to us
- Anywhere, including deep links to specific pages on this site.
- Quote this site
- Short excerpts of our copy, quoted as ours. Reproducing a whole page is not a quotation.
- Export and keep your own records
- Whatever you have logged is yours to copy, print and keep, for any purpose, forever.
What needs a conversation first
- Reusing the designs or illustrations
- The doodles, the interface layouts and the icon treatments were drawn for Alia. Lifting them into another product is not covered above.
- Redistributing the app
- Copying, decompiling, repackaging or redistributing the Alia app, other than as the App Store distributes it to you.
- Using the name or wordmark in your own branding
- See section 3.
For any of these, write to hadi@ogdenventures.io. The answer is often yes.
5. Software Alia is built on
Alia uses other people’s work under their licences, and their copyright is theirs rather than ours. The full licence texts ship with the app and the source.
- Nunito
- The typeface throughout the app and this site. Copyright the Nunito Project Authors, used under the SIL Open Font License, Version 1.1. The licence text travels with the fonts inside the app.
- Lucide
- The icon set the app’s glyphs and background doodles are drawn from. Copyright Lucide Contributors, used under the ISC License. Icons in the set derived from Feather remain copyright Cole Bemis under the MIT License.
- Next.js, React and React-DOM
- This website is built with them. Copyright Meta Platforms, Inc. and affiliates, and the Next.js contributors, used under the MIT License.
- AppsFlyer iOS SDK
- Used in the app for install attribution, at a pinned version. This is proprietary software used under AppsFlyer’s own terms, not an open-source grant, and it is listed here for completeness rather than as a licence to anyone. What it does and does not receive is described in the Privacy Policy.
If you believe something Alia depends on is missing from this list, tell us and we will add it.
6. Reporting copyright infringement
If you own copyright in something you believe Alia or this site is using without permission, send us a notice and we will investigate it, and remove or disable anything infringing that we control.
Send it to the address in section 7, and include:
- Your physical or electronic signature, as the copyright owner or someone authorised to act for them.
- Identification of the work you say is infringed — or, for several works at one site, a representative list.
- Identification of the material you say is infringing, specific enough that we can actually find it. A URL is ideal.
- Contact details for you: address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and — under penalty of perjury — that you are the owner or authorised to act for them.
Those six items are what 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3) asks for. A notice missing several of them may not be one we can act on, and we may come back to you for the rest.
If we remove something of yours
We will tell you, and you may send a counter-notification identifying the material, stating under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was removed by mistake or misidentification, and consenting to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district — or, if you are outside the United States, for any district in which we may be found.
Repeat infringement
We terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe copyright, in appropriate circumstances.
A word on bad notices
Misrepresenting that material is infringing can make you liable for damages, including costs and legal fees, under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f). If you are unsure whether a use is infringing, it is worth asking a lawyer before sending a notice.
7. Where to send it
Copyright notices, counter-notifications and permission requests all go to the same place:
Designated agent: [agent name]
Ogden A.D. Ventures LLC, DBA Alia Childcare
13249 154th St, Jamaica, NY 11434, United States

Alia hosts no public user content: everything in the app is a private log visible only to the caregivers on it. We follow the process above regardless, because it is the right way to handle a complaint.
